Our story

Adventure is better when it's shared

How it began

From weekend trips to a whole community

Trail Vida grew out of a simple frustration: too many outdoor guides read like brochures. They'd tell you a trail was "beautiful" but skip the stuff that actually matters — where to park before the lot fills, whether the creek crossing is sketchy after rain, and which overlook is worth the extra mile.

So we started writing it all down. What began as notes for friends turned into a place thousands of people now trust to plan their own trips. We're proudly independent, which means our gear picks and recommendations are based on real use, not who's paying.

Whether you're lacing up for your first short loop or planning a multi-day backcountry route, we want Trail Vida to feel like advice from a friend who's already been.

What we believe

The trail is for everyone

Honest over hyped

If a trail's overrated or a product's not worth it, we'll say so. Trust is the whole point.

All paces welcome

Fast or slow, first hike or thousandth — there's a place for you out here, and with us.

Leave it better

We pack it out, stay on trail, and respect the wild places that give us so much.
